The Araucária Foundation searches the social, economic, and environment development of the State of Paraná through investments in science, technology, and innovation. This institution is a legal entity of private law, no profit. However, as it runs with public resources, it is treated by the control institutions with the same requirements applied to others governmental institutions.
Date of establishment: The Araucária Foundation was established by the Decree nº 4.684, of January 09th, 1998 and came into legal existence in January 6th, 2000 with registration in the National Register of Legal Entities (CNPJ).

The State Funding Agency of Pernambuco (FACEPE) promotes the scientific and technological development of the State of Pernambuco though the advancement of science, technology and innovation keeping in close harmony with meeting their socioeconomic needs.
Date of establishment: The FACEPE was established through the State Law 10.401/1989 of December 26th, 1989.

The State Funding Agency of Piauí (FAPEPI) is the only agency that promotes the scientific and technological development of Piauí. It is an agency of the State Government linked to the State Secretary of Economic and Technology Development (SEDET). The financial resource is assured by the State Constitution.
Date of establishment: The FAPEPI was established through the State Law 4.664/1993 of December 20th, 1993.

The State Funding Agency of Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ) is the agency which develops science, technology, innovation in the State of Rio de Janeiro. It is linked to the State Secretary of Science and Technology and its mission is foster activities in the scientific and technological area, supporting the development of projects and programs from researchers and entrepreneurs linked to public or private teaching and research institutions or companies
Date of establishment: The FAPERJ was established through the Decree 3.290 of June 16th, 1980.

The State Funding Agency of Rio Grande do Sul (FAPERGS) has the objective to develops the research in all fields of knowledge. Its assignment: to promote the technological innovation in the productive sector; the mobility and scientific, technological, and cultural divulgation; to foster the capacity building of the human researchers; and the strengthening and the expansion of the research infrastructure in the State of Rio Grande do Sul
Date of establishment: the FAPERGS was established through the State Law 4.920 of December 31st, 1964.
